The warships that were off the coast of Venezuela have moved in and are encircling Cuba. Trump's goal: to stifle, strangle and starve Cuba, the rebel island that is building an independent, socialist society less than 200 km from the United States.

Cuba has been under a US blockade for over 60 years. But now we are witnessing an unprecedented intensification of that blockade, which is making the various shortages even worse: prolonged power cuts, shortages of medicines and food.

Trump wants to bring down the government by making life impossible for the Cuban people. The Cuban people are resisting and will not accept these threats and intimidation.

Cuba has always shown its solidarity with the peoples of the world. Remember the medical brigades that were sent all over the world during the Covid crisis. Today, more than ever, Cuba needs our support and solidarity.

Across the globe, people are standing up and speaking out: "No to the blockade against Cuba". And to tell Trump: "Hands off Cuba!". Let's join them. #HandsOffCuba
